Welcome to NSDL's Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2008 Exhibit!

In 2008 the Intel ISEF brought together over 1,200 amazing young scientists from more than 50 countries. The students competed for more than USD 4 million in scholarships and prizes, including the unique honor of having minor planets named after them. ISEF projects traverse a broad range of problems and disciplines, often including issues that have eluded scientists for years. In 2008, more than 20 percent of the young scientists competing at Intel ISEF either had or had applied for a patent for their work, according to the principle sponsor Intel Corporation.

Intel ISEF finalists prevailed over a field of more than 65,000 students who competed in more than 500 regional Intel ISEF-affiliated science fairs around the world.
