OnFire Project Description
OnFire is an extension to Fez. OnFire is being developed in support of the OnRamp project for NSDL. Fez is a project under continuing development at University of Queensland Library.
OnFire facilitates the distribution of record content to destinations. Destinations are generated results based on distributed content from one or more records combined into a result that can be in various formats including, but not limited to, text, html, and rss feeds. Destination results are accessed through a URL.
Summary of Major Features by Version
- 1.0 --> basic content management and distribution workflows for producing RSS feeds
- 1.1 --> test results, caching, versioning, browse destinations' distributions and results
- 1.2 --> security
- SKIP 1.3 --> OnRamp 1.3 specific
- 1.4 --> multi-record content, sorting in My Fez
- 1.5 --> MOVED TO 1.1
- SKIP 1.6 --> OnRamp 1.6 specific
NOTE: Version 1.0 is currently under development. If you have opinions about the priorities of particular features that are pending in later versions, please express them on the Discussion page (see tabs at the top of this page). The order of implementation of the features can be changed.

Description
This is the first implementation of OnFire. It fulfills the basic implementation requirements for the distribution extension to Fez. See the Feature List for a more detailed description of functionality. It will be followed by another release that extends this basic functionality. See OnFire 1.1 for more information.
