[Jessica] Issue record and distribution for issue page is updated (2/19/08). How does the content change on the home page?. [Elly] The home page is on the feature list, we are just hacking it for now. |

[Elly] I think the best bet is to create an html upload in OnRamp for now - I'll display this html file on the home page. Eventually, the home page will be generated differently. |

I don’t know how hard this is to accomplish - what I’m envisioning is blue text, all lowercase (an online magazine for K-5 teachers) that is just after the word Bears in the logo. Is that possible?
[Elly] Luckily this didn't mess with the layout too much. Also made it italic per Jess. |

| On hold | Lynette/Elly | [Jessica] The Researchers Stories article doesn’t come up - why? [Lynette] The RSS has the correct URL. The link loads ok in a separate browser window. [Elly] This was an interesting one - its because of my error hack. The article had the word "error" in it. So much for that fix. I'm changing the logic (tmp fix). [Lynette] I'll check to see if Fez put in the error status in the http return code. [Lynette] I updated eserv.php to return http status codes 403 Forbidden if a login is required and 404 Not Found if the resource doesn't exist. It will only do this if a parameter SHOW_STATUS=true is appended to the end of the regular eserv.php URL. I do this automatically in the RSS for all columns. The RSS was regenerated 02/20/2008 11:30pm. [elly] I put in new error code, I think its working ok. Need to test better. |

| Resolved | Elly/Jessica | [Jessica] We're seeing some weird things happen with this page, depending on the monitor. [Lynette] More information is needed. [Jessica] Kim will provide information. I'm not having problems on my computer. [Kim] I just looked at the Beyond Penguins homepage on my home computer and the first time I opened the page the header links and tagline - Integrating Science and Literacy in K-5 Classrooms were not there. After closer inspection, I realized they were under the blue bar. The Contributor box was way out of control also - it was sticking out to the right a couple of inches. The header links and tagline were also missing on the departments pages. I checked my resolution and it was 1024 X 768 - on IE 7.0. My monitor size is a NEC LCD 1715 - 13.5" X 10.5". I changed the resolution to 1152 X 864 and everything was OK - small but OK. [Elly] I'm not thrilled with the layout, but its better and prob good enuf for testing (2/25/08). Can reopen with feedback PRN. |

[Lynette] I put temporary links to the original icons supplied by Angie to avoid having to edit the RSS by hand each time it is generated. These can be deleted when the real icons are available. The distributions will need to be updated to the new icons. |

Again, I don’t know if this is possible - can the listing of articles be moved to the right side of the page, underneath the department description? If that’s not possible, could we at least resize the images so the articles show up a bit higher on the page?

On my end, I need to update two columns: Virtual Bookshelf and Feature Story. I saw some files from Angie this morning, but there are needed changes to both. However, I've already created the distribution records so I'll just be updating existing files instead of adding new ones. |
